Dear Pastor,
I am writing this letter to let you know about a new training opportunity for your young people that will begin in January 9, 2012 in Spokane, Washington. This new program is being offered by Gateways Beyond Northwest which is a covenantal expression of Gateways Beyond International.
Since 2000, Gateways Beyond International has been operating discipleship training schools in Cyprus. Through a succession of 6-month intensive courses young people are trained in servant leadership and equipped for world missions. Gateways Beyond is a Messianic Jewish ministry. We pray for the salvation of Israel and reach out to bless the Jewish people in all nations. Our compassion and outreach encompass all people.
I have been serving as a youth pastor in Spokane, Washington for the last six years and God has given me a heart to see a training opportunity for our young people in the region. We know we are not alone in recognizing that God is on the move in the Inland Northwest like never before. He is raising up an army of extravagant worshippers and consecrated warriors. They need training and equipping. Our desire—as I’m certain it is your desire too—is to see young people who have an unshakable foundation of consecration to the Lord, who understand their purpose and destiny, and who carry a fiery passion for their God.
Our vision includes a six month training school for young people 18 to 30 years old. It will be an intensive training program that will include foundational teaching in worship, intercession, intimacy with God, identity in Jesus, consecration and more. The emphasis of the GTS program is not academic but rather the impartation of the Spirit. The students will learn from the lives of powerful men and women both locally and internationally. Although worship and teaching will be foundational to the daily journey of each student, there will also be many opportunities to reach out and practice what they have learned.
The Training School is located in Hillyard, a community of Spokane, which is known to be the poorest zip code in the State of Washington. We desire to see transformation come both on a personal level with every student, but also on a community level in this needy area of town. Being so strategically located, students will be equipped through local community outreach to learn how to serve in love and to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit. We will also benefit from the many Gateways connections overseas and plant our feet on foreign soil for the sake of the Gospel.
It is imperative that together we prepare the next generation for these coming days of great harvest. GBNW is committed to making disciples who, when trained and equipped, will represent Jesus and take the fire of His presence into all the earth and into all spheres of life. We realize that a 6-month school is not the only training or discipleship that a young person needs and we do not assume that our program is the only tool. We would like to work together with the local churches, pastors and leaders to see the young people in this region rise up to their calling and be an influence in their cities and nations.
Many Blessings,
Nehemiah Rudolph
